Projects & Thesis

Apr 2018 - ongoing: Shrinking Housing Environment Footprint (SHEF)

NRP73 Project on Swiss Sustainable economy: Material flow and demand consumption modeling to reduce housing environmental footprint by space, building and equipment efficiency.

Jan 2017 - Apr 2018: Computational analysis of social effects in energy trading in rural India

The project involves modeling and empirical analysis of the solar energy trading projects in rural context of developing countries. The aim is to understand the social (economical and institutional) dynamics involved by providing:

  • Policy recommendations with empirical research on the various energy trading projects at micro/nano grid level and development of theoretical framework to incorporate the social factors.

  • Computer Science (agent based) model to understand the effects via agent based modelling and minimize the effects among of societal norms for energy trading.

Dec 2015 - Dec 2017: Open data objectives for government and researchers

Understanding if the open government data initiatives are meeting their goals worldwide by studying the motivations and de-motivations of opening data among researchers.
